St. Faustina wk. beginning 18.10.21

It has been a lovely final week and the children have enjoyed another special (albeit muddy) session in Forest School. In DT the children also made their bridges for the troll. St Bernadette Week 7

A huge well done to all of the children for a fantastic first half term in year 2. This week in English, they have planned and written their invented character description. Week 6 – St John Bosco

Yet another busy full week in St John Bosco! In English the children have been planning an invention for a character description based on the structure of the original story map. They really have enjoyed creating or using their own character to talk about. They have started to think about using the structure to include their character description toolkit. In RE, the children continued to learn about the story of Joseph, with regards to his Read more…

St Bernadette Week 5 and 6

The last two weeks have flown by and it is hard to believe we have nearly completed a whole half term in year 2. In English, the children have been busy learning about similes, practising writing using their new knowledge of expanded noun phrases, using commas to list items and using commas to list three things to describe someone. They created their own innovated version of the character description about the Hoctopize and their ideas Read more…

Our week in St Francis class

This week we have been very busy. We have loved our Funky Fingers sessions each morning where we have really tried hard to improve our fine motor skills. We have also learnt different sounds this week in our phonics. Today, we practised our super speedy sounds and checked our work by giving our sounds a tick. Mrs Cull, Mrs Armstrong and Miss Casey were so proud of us and our beautiful handwriting. This afternoon, we Read more…
