Our School has received Pupil Premium funding for 2019/20 of £42,240. See below for the Pupil Premium Strategy for 2019-20 and the impact for funding received 2018-19.
The School also receives PE and Sports funding and in 2018/19 we received £17,670. We purchased trikes, helmets and stabilisers to enable Reception and Key Stage 1 to learn to ride a tricycle; introduced the 5-a-day programme providing pupils with physical activities and regular movement; and introduced more specific teaching of team games alonside core skills. This was supported by coaching on how to teach hockey. The curriculum now helps pupils develop team skills and has enabled us to enter pupils in a wider range of sports competitions, e.g. tag rugby. This year we will be continuing on the improvements made last year to lunchtime activities with the installation of a MUGA (multi-use games area); Year 4s will take part in the Level 1 Council’s Bike Ability Programme; increase the number of pupils who can ride bikes by the end of Key Stage 2 and continue to participate in sporting events with pupils from other schools.
