Well done to St. Faustina Class as they have all been working hard this week.

In English the children have innovated the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff by changing various elements such as the characters and the setting. They have enjoyed doing this and have used their innovated story maps to help them learn the new way of retelling the story.

In Maths the children have been continuing to use the comparison symbols <> and = to compare objects, quantities and numbers. They have also been ordering 3 sets of numbers using the language greatest, greater than, smallest and smaller than.

In DT we have begun to design a bridge that is able to withstand the weight of a toy goat. We can’t wait to start building our bridges and trying to match them to our designs. Thank you for providing boxes and cardboard tubes for the children to work with.

On Wednesday the children enjoyed another fun session in Forest School where they worked together to create shelters for their toys. Please remember that children must have their wellies in school every Wednesday as the site can get very muddy at times and we don’t want your children to have to miss out. Unfortunately we are not always able to borrow a pair for them.

And as always a huge congratulations to our certificate winners this week…
