Week 4 in St Martin de Porres

Published by NJones on

Another lovely week has come and gone in St Martin de Pores class.

The week started with our class leading the Mass for St Vincent de Paul. The children had prepared prayers and readings which they led fantastically on Monday morning. It was a really good start to the week.

In English the children have done some brilliant work about the Pharaoh from the book The Egyptian Cinderella. They worked really hard to think of some exciting sentence about him using expanded noun phrases and prepositional phrases.

In RE, the children learnt about the seven Sacraments in Church Life and why they are important.

In Science, the children began to think about sun safety and why it’s really important to look after ourselves when we are out in the sun.

On Friday, we held our Go Green for CAFOD. The children thought about the environment and climate change and all made a pledge as to what they were going to do to ‘Go Green’.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending in the book bags. We are now reading with your child at least once a week and they will be bringing home an Oxford Reading Tree book and a library book to enjoy at home.

Have a good week.
