Another week is over and it has been very busy. The children are a pleasure to teach and engage really well.

The children have continued to enjoy our daily ‘5 a day’ dances, they have settled in well to their new ‘Read, write inc groups too.

Our topic is ‘Fly to the moon’. We will be looking at the first man on the moon ‘Neil Armstrong’ in History and learning lots of information about him.

This week we have begun our Science topic ‘Materials’. The children have been investigating the properties of different materials and sorting them.

In English this half term, we are looking at the book ‘Toys in Space’ by Mini Grey. The children have been learning the text about the main alien in the story. By the end of half term the children will be creating a character description for their own character.

We have been learning about place value of numbers in Maths. The children have identified the amount of ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ in 2 and 3 digit numbers and how they are partitioned.

Also, well done to Harry and Oliwia for receiving our Virtues and Values certificates this week by being ‘eloquent’ and sharing ideas with the class.

Another well done to Maya for the handwriting of the week certificate and Harry for spelling of the week certificate.
