St Martin de Porres week 4

Published by NJones on

We’ve had another busy week in St Martin de Porres.

We started with a wonderful mass on Monday to celebrate the Going Forth of the First Holy Communion children. The children looked fabulous and really enjoyed their special Mass that was taken by Father Tony.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the Day of many Colours, where the children thought about mission around the world and children helping children. They learnt a lot about other customs from the around the world and prayed for each continent using Rosary beads.

This week in guided reading, the children have been working in groups to practise a play that they are going to perform to the other children in the class. The children have really enjoyed these sessions and the plays are starting to look really good. We may try to upload the performances to the website if we can.

We are hoping to hold sports day on Tuesday 6th July weather permitting, so the children will need to come in their team colours again on Tuesday please.

Our virtues and values award this week goes to Harvey for his caring nature towards other people who are less fortunate.

Have a good week and I will write again next week.
