St Teresa – 14.5.21

What a lovely week we have had! From World War Two days to continuing our art projects, the children have been excellent.

On Monday, we celebrated Mass in the hall with Father Stephen. It was lovely to actually participate in Mass.

On Tuesday, we had the highly anticipated World War Two Workshop…and it didn’t disappoint! We all learned so much and had a fantastic day. We listened to so many interesting facts, explored different artefacts, had a go at some First Aid AND had a go at dealing with incendiary bombs (not real ones, of course)! A few of the children may have accidentally almost soaked me with the water during the last activity… at least, I think it was accidentally.

We carried on with our lovely art projects, supported by Mrs Farbrother from St Bedes. I think you will agree that our watercolour silhouette pictures are rather impressive!

And finally, we have our Virtue and Value Awards for this week. We gave awards to Archiee – for always having time to listen to everyone in our class, Freya – for always checking if her friends are ok, and to Mr Rose – who has been taking care of a family of pigeons in the courtyard (we have enjoyed watching the baby pigeons grow over the last weeks).

I hope you all have a lovely weekend 🙂

Mrs Humphries
