St Thomas Class this week

We started off our week with Awards assembly. We thought about St Teresa and her vocation and we linked this to our talents.

We had three star pupils this week. Well done Molly-May, Zuzanna and Aeron!

Molly-May-for good inference in guided reading and being able to understand what happens in a story.

Zuzanna-For working hard in all lessons and having a great attitude to her school work. Especially her focused work in Maths.

Aeron-For settling in well into St Thomas Class since starting last week.

Evie also received a Virtues & Values certificate for showing herself to be compassionate and loving by giving a very warm welcome to the new child in our class. She helped him with the new routines and ensured he had somebody to play with at break times. Well done Evie.

It has been a busy week in class with lots of learning. In English the children have been using a story map to imitate the story ‘After the Fall’. They have been writing a new part every day and have been focussing on making sure they are trying to include the correct punctuation.

In Science we looked at local habitats and some of the animals that may be found there. We combined this with learning about the different animal groups…mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, insects and amphibians.
