St Martin de Porres week 1

Published by NJones on

Happy New Year! Well, what a start it has been to 2021! I want to start by thanking everyone for their patience this week. It has been a very different week for all of us!

It has been lovely to see so many children this week, whether it’s been at school as you have a parent who is a keyworker or online during our remote learning sessions.

In English this half term, we are learning how to write a newspaper report and we will be learning all the skills that build up to this.

I have been very impressed with the angle work the children have completed this week in maths.

Here are the things that we will be learning about in our other subjects this half term.

Geography- map work

Science- Forces and magnets (if you are home it might be worth seeing if you can find some magnets that the children can investigate with.)

RE -Reconciliation

Computing- Coding

Music- Rhythm

We’ve got lots of exciting things to look forward to this term and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the classroom or on Teams.

Have a good week and I will write again next week.

Mrs Jones
