St Bernadette week 4

Published by cchurchill on

This week the children in St Bernadette class have amazed Miss Nurse and I with their fantastic art skills. They worked with Miss Nurse in art to create some beautiful rangoli patterns. They also designed their own diva lamps which they will be making out of clay. They were so good that we had to show Miss Moriani and she was also very impressed. Look out for some pictures of their amazing work.

In English, the children continue to work hard with their phonics, reading and writing and I know all of the adults that teach in the respective RWI groups are really impressed with the children’s work at the moment.

In maths, we continued our work on addition and the children have been adding 2 digit and 1 digit numbers using a number line and the column method.

In history, the children learnt more about the Gunpowder Plot. They had to imagine they were present when the plotters planned their attack and they wrote down the conversations that they would have overheard.

In computing, the children learnt how to use the green screen app and they are going to have a go at creating lots of fun images next week. As you can see, we had a bit of a shock when a tiger was in our classroom!
