Well done to the following children for their awards this week…Molly May, Theo, Hayden, Emily, Evie, Tyler, Mary, Oliver, Zuzanna, Nathaniel, Vicky, Charlie, Stephanie and Maya…keep up the fantastic work!

Don’t forget to check the the class page for Monday’s post with the class awards for our star pupils and Read Write Inc certificates.

It has been a super week and all the children have worked very hard. They continue to try their very best in their RWI groups and all their teachers are proud of them. Remember, the Bug Club books online match their current ability so please access these for extra reading practise at home.

In PE the children have been learning to skip with control and balance. It is hard work but they are determined not to give up. In the lesson we are also thinking about the changes to our bodies and to our heart rates as we exercise. We are enjoying discussing the importance of keeping healthy through physical activity.

In RE, the children heard the story of Jesus calling his first disciples. They had to write a letter home, pretending to be a disciple, explaining why they chose to follow Jesus and carry out his special mission.

In Maths, the children have been practising their doubles and near doubles. They have learnt the ‘doubling machine’ song and have been using ten frames to help figure out near doubles. Please practise counting in fives ready for next week!

Have a fab weekend and we will see you next week.
