St Bernadette Class Week 7

Published by cchurchill on

We started our week with a mass led by KS2. The children are getting used to the new way of joining in with mass and as a class we think it is a wonderful way to start a new week.

In English, the children have continued working hard on their reading and writing in their RWI phonics groups. Please ensure children have their book bags in school every day, particularly on a Friday when their books are changed, as we need old books to be returned before new ones can be given. Books are also available to read on Bug Club.

In maths, we began working on our addition and subtraction skills. The children have been counting in 3’s, recalling number bonds to 10 and 20 and recalling associated number facts within 20.

In RE, the children learnt about psalms. Ask your child about our favourite class psalm which they have enjoyed listening to. The children also wrote their own psalms giving thanks and praise to God.

Well done to Oliver and Nicolas who got virtues and values certificates today for being curious and active.

Congratulations Oliver.

Certificates were also given to children who have read books on Bug Club this week. Well done to you all.

Well done Alfie, Lio, Sam, Mia, Oliver, Oskar and Sofia.
