A busy week

Published by NJones on

We have had another busy week in Year 3.

We started with a lovely Mass led by Father Tony from the hall, while we watched on the whiteboard in the classroom.

In maths, we have started to think about simple addition and subtraction.

We are continuing to write character descriptions in English and this week they children have planned and written a description of the witch from Hansel and Gretel.

In RE the children learnt about the Sacraments and why they are a special part of being part of the church.

In science, we continued to learn about the digestive system and we made some poo using weetabix, bananas, water and a pair of tights. We had great fun! (Se the photos below)

Our class assembly on Thursday was led by Riley and Zofia who told us the story of The Wedding at Cana. We are now in the month of October where we think about the Rosary and Mary.

On Friday, in our Virtues and Values assembly, 3 children were presented with certificates for being curious and active in the classroom. Nitin and Riley were active in their learning and Gosia was active when helping around the classroom. Well done everyone.

Thank you if you have sent your child’s reading book bag in. We will be sending books home with your child next week for you to enjoy with them. Please sign their diaries so that we can see how they are getting on at home.

Have a good week.
