Last week was another busy week in St Bernadette class. The week began with a whole school mass led by St Teresa class. Although we couldn’t all be together in the hall, the children still participated in the mass via a live stream from the hall. The children were excited by this new way of participating in mass. In English, the children were in their RWI groups completing reading and writing activities linked to the book they are reading. In maths, the children practised counting forwards and backwards in 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s from any given number as an oral starter in lessons. They completed activities using their place value knowledge, such as placing numbers on a number line, comparing numbers using the <, > and = symbols and partitioning numbers into their tens and ones. In RE, the children heard the story of Abraham and Isaac and how God tested Abraham’s faith in him. Thank you to parents/carers for remembering to send in the children in their PE kits on a Monday and Friday.
