A great week

Published by NJones on

I can’t believe that we have been back at school for 3 weeks already. Time is really flying!

We have had another busy week which started with Mass on Monday. Father Tony was in the hall and we watched it on the whiteboard in the classroom. Technology is amazing! The children really enjoyed being part of the Mass again.

In English we have continued to learn about character descriptions and this week we began to innovate the description of Willy Wonka and we changed it to Veruca Salt instead. The children are really enjoying hearing the story of Chocolate Factory, so if you have time to watch one of of the films I’m sure they’d love that too.

In maths we have been ordering and comparing numbers up to 1000. The children are becoming quite confident with this. We also used Times table rockstars on Friday and it would be great if all the children could have a practise of this at home too. The aim is that they get faster at answering over time but also begin to know the times tables ready for Year 4.

In Science we continued to think about our teeth and set up an investigation to find out what different drinks do to our teeth. We put eggs in cola, coffee, tea and water It will be interesting to see the results next week!

Eva J and Karina led a lovely assembly for us on Thursday all about the forgiveness and the Woman at the Well.

We have also been busy in art sketching a witch, PE where we have done circuit training and hockey and RE where we learnt about the call of the Diciples.

Have a lovely week and I will write again next week.
