Year Three’s Fantastic Day at Cannock Chase Museum.

Published by KSmith on

Today, Year Three visited Cannock Chase Museum to experience what life was like during WW2.

We took part in a mock air raid and Declan was the Welfare Officer – this meant that he sounded the siren, blew his whistle and escorted us into the bunker safely. We enjoyed visiting a WW2 style house, where we learnt many interesting facts, including why the use of televisions was banned during WW2. The children also loved dressing up in wartime clothes and doing some drama!

Miss Smith is feeling very proud because as always, the childrens’ behaviour was excellent AND the Museum Guides were blown away with their knowledge of WW2. Well done Year Three – what a wonderful day we have had!
